Our series, Neo-Jungian Studies, is dedicated to providing a platform for works in analytical psychology that face challenges in securing publication. Our mission is to uphold high academic standards while embracing interdisciplinary approaches, particularly those that explore the broader intersections of psychoanalysis.
JUNGIANEUM/Books was born out of necessity, as the publishing landscape has shifted in recent years due to the digitalization of the industry, the growing dominance of online retailers, and the aggressive reduction in profitability for traditional publishing houses. As a result, there are very few companies continuing to survive on the old model of large print runs, warehousing books, and full upfront “good faith” investment upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication. Also, historical Jungian publishers are rapidly shutting down, or are no longer accepting titles. This situation has left a gaping hole whereby up-and coming and forward-thinking scholars of the Jungian, analytical field lack access to a wider audience and the means to contribute to the greater intellectual and psycho-social/mental health readership communities.
